App: Dots Good! (iOS: com.kamilkucma.dotsgood, Android: com.kamilkucma.dotsgood)
Dots Good! is a free puzzle game supported by ads and optional in-app purchases. This policy explains what data the app processes, why, and what your choices are.
1. Data we collect
We do not require an account, and we never ask for your name, e-mail address, or phone number. The app processes the following data:
Device & advertising identifiers
- Advertising identifier (Apple IDFA on iOS — only with your permission via the App Tracking Transparency prompt; Google Advertising ID on Android), device model, OS version, language, screen parameters, IP address (processed transiently by ad networks for ad delivery and fraud prevention).
Gameplay & analytics data
- Anonymous gameplay events (levels started/completed, score, session length, in-game economy events, crash data), tied to a randomly generated player ID — not to your identity.
Purchases
- In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple App Store / Google Play. We receive only anonymized transaction confirmations (product, time, transaction ID) — never your payment details.
Country (for leaderboard flags)
- One-time lookup of your approximate country (two-letter code, e.g. “PL”) from your IP address via the ipinfo.io service. Only the country code is stored on your device; your IP address is not stored by us.
Leaderboards & cloud save (optional)
- If you use online leaderboards: your chosen in-game nickname, score, country flag and cosmetic items are stored with your anonymous player ID and shown to other players.
- If you link Sign in with Apple: we receive an anonymous Apple identifier used solely to restore your progress across devices. Game progress is then stored in Unity Cloud Save.
2. How we use data
- Deliver and improve the game — analytics on anonymous gameplay events (legitimate interest / consent where required).
- Show ads — banner ads (Google AdMob) and optional rewarded / interstitial video ads (Unity Ads). In the EEA/UK, personalized ads are shown only with your consent collected via the Google-certified consent form (UMP); otherwise ads are non-personalized.
- Process purchases and restore them (contract).
- Online features you opt into — leaderboards, cloud save (contract/consent).
- Stability — crash and error diagnostics (legitimate interest).
3. Third-party services
The app uses the following processors/partners. Their processing is governed by their own privacy policies:
- Google AdMob + UMP — banner ads, consent management. Policy
- Unity Ads — rewarded/interstitial video ads. Policy
- Unity Gaming Services (Analytics, Authentication, Cloud Save, Leaderboards) — analytics, anonymous accounts, save backup, rankings. Policy
- Apple (App Store, Sign in with Apple, StoreKit) — purchases, optional sign-in. Policy
- Google Play (Billing) — purchases. Policy
- ipinfo.io — one-time country lookup for the flag feature. Policy
We do not sell your data.
4. Ads and your choices
- EEA/UK (GDPR): on first launch you will see a consent form. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time in Settings → Privacy inside the game.
- iOS: the App Tracking Transparency prompt controls the use of your advertising identifier. You can change it anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy → Tracking.
- Android: you can reset or delete your Advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
5. Data retention
- Local game progress stays on your device (and in your device backups) until you uninstall the game or clear its data.
- Cloud saves and leaderboard entries are retained while your anonymous account is active; analytics data is retained by Unity in aggregate form per their policy.
- To delete your cloud data, leaderboard entry, or anonymous account, contact us at studiokucma@gmail.com (include your in-game nickname) — we will process the request within 30 days.
6. Your rights (GDPR)
If you are in the EEA/UK, you have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Because we hold no direct identifiers, we may ask for your player ID or nickname to locate your data. Contact: studiokucma@gmail.com.
7. Children
Dots Good! is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. Ad content is configured for general audiences. If you believe a child provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
Online features run on Unity Gaming Services and Google infrastructure using encrypted connections (HTTPS). Purchases never pass through our servers.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy (e.g. when adding features). The current version is always available at: https://studiokucma.com/dots-good-privacy. Material changes will be signalled in the app.
